SAFE-EN2 is an advanced safety supervision system, designed to monitor hazardous EX-zones for potential leakage of flammable refrigerants, including A2, A2L and A3. By utilizing sensors to detect gas leakage, the SAFE-EN controls the ventilation within a designated area to ensure a safe working environment.

In an EX-zone, a dangerous atmosphere can form when three critical factors occur simultaneously: the presence of explosive gases, oxygen, and an ignition source. To prevent this potentially unsafe situation, the SAFE-EN2 uses sensors to actively detect gas levels and regulates the ventilation, preventing the hazardous area from expanding and becoming unmanageable.

This innovative system is capable of automatically adjust the ventilation speed in response to the detection of a refrigerant leakage, effectively mitigating the risk of an unsafe environment. The sensors that are positioned in the EX-zone detect the level of leakage and can automatically trigger alarms based on the gas concentration: yellow alarm and red alarm.

In the event of a red alarm, the system promptly notifies the supervised office and initiates safety protocols, such as shutting down power to specific equipment, such as conveyors, welder, or even an entire area, to prevent any potential ignition sources.
